Iowa operators lobby for lower tax on bingo

Iowa’s charity bingo operators are asking for state taxes on their bingo halls to be lowered as the current rate makes them unviable. Profits slump for bingo in Powhatan, Virginia

Police in Greensboro, New Jersey reported that a man robbed Marcella’s Bingo on the day before Christmas. An armed masked man wearing a camouflage jacket approached a female employee as she was leaving the premises at 1am and stole company and personal cash. Marcella’s Bingo is at 811 W. Lee Street in Greensboro, NJ.

Texas charitable bingo raised $6.1 million for states and local city and county coffers in the third quarter of 2008, according to information released by the Texas Lottery Commission.
